The CORDS central team is deliberately small to enable the majority of resources to be used to save lives. Our work is overseen by an international top level executive board who advise on strategy.

The focus of our central team is to facilitate disease information exchange and communication exchange amongst our six networks in South East Asia, East Africa, South East Europe, Southern Africa, The Mekong Basin and The Middle East. We are also able to make vital contributions to national emergency response planning leveraging our knowledge of disease outbreaks around the globe.

Our funders include The Rockefeller Foundation, the Skoll Global Threats Fund and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
